Cheater's Chicken Cordon Bleu
Found this recipe in a ward cookbook and we love it. We have made some modifications from the original for our tastes.
| 2 | c | Chicken - uncooked, diced |
| 2 | c | Ham - diced |
| 1 1/2 | c | Mozzarella Cheese, grated |
Layer chicken and ham in a 9x13" baking dish. Top with grated cheese.
| 2 | c | sour cream |
| 1 | can | Cream of Chicken Soup |
| 1 | tsp | Garlic Salt |
Mix together. Spread on top of chicken, ham and cheese.
| 1/2 | pkg | Stove Top Stuffing |
Sprinkle on top of sauce. Bake at 350* for 1 hour. Serve over rice or egg noodles.
You can substitute cooked chicken for the raw chicken and cut oven baking time to 30 minutes. We also have substituted Pepper Jack cheese for a more tangy flavor. We are not as big of fans of Swiss cheese, but it can also be used.
